Founded in 1996, the Long Beach Public Library Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that provides support to the Long Beach Public Library through the procurement of private funds.

The Library Foundation provides support and oversees programs designed to promote literacy, academic success, self-help learning and free access to current technologies. Author Event/Fundraiser:
Ambassador Sichan Siv, Author of Golden Bones

Join us to hear former United Nations Ambassador Sichan Siv, bestselling author of Golden Bones speak for the first time in Southern California about his escape from the 1976 Cambodia killing fields and his extraordinary experiences as a refugee who found the American dream.

Event will include a presentation, book reading and book signing.  Books will be available to purchase.

We are in need of silent auction items!  Please contact us if you would like to make a donation.  We are collecting:

- Bottles of Wine, Winery Tours
- One-of-a-kind, handmade Items (Clothing, jewelry, art etc.)
- Rare, first edition and autographed books
- Travel packages, mileage, vacation homes
- Unique experiences (Plane flights, ride-alongs, parties etc.)
