Long Beach Public Library Foundation

Mission & History

THE LONG BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION PROVIDES SUPPORT TO ENHANCE THE LONG BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY AND ENCOURAGES LITERACY AND EDUCATION FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY.

Since our founding in 1996, we have supported literacy and education by providing resources and funding for special programs, events, projects, and initiatives. Our support creates new learning opportunities at the Main Library and all 11 neighborhood library branches throughout Long Beach which receives over 1 million visits annually.

TRANSFORMING LIVES

Our Library enhancements and programs, made possible thanks to tax-deductible donations of every amount from generous supporters, help transform the lives of children, parents, students, the elderly, the disabled, and anyone else who wishes to learn.
